HEALING SPACE COUNSELING - EST. 2001

I create the healing space for you to feel safe and respected, to be vulnerable and authentic, to tell your truth, to take responsibility for your part, and to grow while deepening self-awareness, compassion, and understanding.

I appreciate the painful journey that led you to reach out for counseling. You're in the right place, I help foster peace in your relationship by teaching you how to communicate respectfully and compassionately without blame, shame, or guilt.

Professionally speaking….

My career began in High Tech, spanning Oakland, California, and Silicon Valley. I worked for a Fortune 25 minicomputer leader in the scientific community, which developed into a seven-year career. Yet, quietly, I nurtured a steadfast dream of becoming a therapist. This path seemed daunting and unattainable for a first-generation college student facing the challenge of earning two degrees.

Through dedicated personal growth and the guidance of a trusted therapist, I overcame self-limiting beliefs and pursued my dream. I returned to college and embarked on my academic journey toward becoming a therapist. Over the years, I have worked for non-profit Mental Health and in Hospital Home Health. I honed my mental health expertise working for Evergreen Hospital supporting Home Health and Hospice with the Geriatric Assessment Team of King County (GRAT). In 2013, I left an 11-year tenure at Evergreen to embrace private practice full-time. Accumulating nearly three decades in Mental Health, my passion for Mental Health and Couples Therapy is stronger than ever. Currently, my research focuses on psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, and I am pursuing a certificate in this innovative field.

Personally speaking…

When not working with couples, you will find me walking or hiking with my rescue dogs, cherishing moments with my loved ones, engaging in home projects, dancing, and enjoying blues, art, and live music. I love cooking, collecting cookbooks, and perfecting a well-pulled espresso. My creative interests include writing, art, pottery, photography, and collecting poetry and quotations. Traveling and exploring diverse cultures is another joy of mine.

Services & Process

Personalized couples therapy focused on empowering high-achieving professionals to transform and strengthen their relationships.

I offer Couples Therapy designed to cater to the specific needs of high-achieving professionals. My services include:

INITIAL ASSESSMENT

The first session, is a comprehensive 90-minute couples session, we will discuss multiple aspects of your relationship, and what you wish to achieve in our work. The assessment is a crucial step in my understanding of your relationship dynamics. Outside of your initial assessment with me, privately each partner will take the Gottman Institute 380-question Relationship Checkup online. $375.00 for 90 minutes, The Gottman Relationship Check-up ($50) is included. Longer Initial Assessments, ex: complex relationship dynamics/affair recovery, will be additionally prorated and will be agreed upon in advance.

INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS

After the initial assessment, I meet with each partner individually. These sessions delve into each partner’s family of origin, relationship history, and personal conflict resolution styles. This format allows each partner to share their candid perspective on the relationship, along with their hopes and dreams. $215 per each partner, 50-60 minutes.

FEEDBACK SESSION

The feedback session is the final step in the comprehensive couples assessment process. I coalesce the findings from our meetings and the relationship check-up into a feedback session. In this session we discuss the findings, I report to you the results of the Relationship Check-up and provide detailed feedback on the relationship’s strengths and areas for improvement. The feedback session provides a clear picture of the state of your relationship. From here, we will develop your personalized plan for couples therapy. $235 for 70 minutes. This may be accomplished in one or multiple appointments. Ongoing couples therapy is $235 for 70 minutes, longer sessions are additions to the base rate and prorated in 15-minute increments.

Note: Fees are offered in compliance with the NO SURPRISES ACT of 2021.
